Charla Pettingill is an illustrator, surface designer, and Savannah College of Art and Design alumna (graduating magna cum laude with a B.F.A. and an M.A. in Visual Communication).  She has 15+ years of industry experience designing for print and pattern. Originally from Tennessee, she resides in Georgia, where she loves creating colorful, charming work that makes people smile!  Along with designing for fabric collections, Charla has created artwork for magazines, product packaging, floor coverings, gift wrap and greeting cards, as well as children's magazines and books.

When she's not drawing or teaching, Charla enjoys a good cup of coffee on her back porch, hanging out with her husband and two cats, making jewelry from polymer clay and found objects, traveling to new destinations, and rummaging at antique shops.
