Make Your First Quilt - El Mirage
Are you new to quilting? Or you want to review some of the basics. Join Joan for this fun two-Saturday's course that covers all the steps in constructing a quilt top. You'll learn how to cut correctly (using different rulers). sew am accurate 1/4" seam allowance, press, learn about needles, threads, rulers, and make classic quilt blocks that you'll sew together into a top and can add border. This pattern allows you to lay out the quilt in 12 different ways using the same block. The second Saturday we lean about adding borders, learn about basics of machine quilting, and learn and practice binding on a sample before you begin binding your quilt. From this class you will have a good understanding of all the steps needed to make a quilt and be ready to take on your next project!
